NAES is an independent energy services company that works in the power generation, oil & gas and petrochemical industries. The heart of their mission is to improve and optimize the energy facilities that they serve.

Boiling it Down
Like many larger organizations, NAES had a lot of important, but complex content on their website. To accommodate this, we had to figure out how to have all of the necessary information present, without overwhelming or confusing visitors.

Establishing Precise Navigation
Before creating a rock-solid website, it’s important to ask big questions around the overall structure of the website.
We put a good amount of thought into their services so that each audience group knew where to go.
We created a resource hub that could house all of their newsletters, events and press releases.
We made sure that a high-level content strategy was in place before we started laying bricks.
Honing in on Key Content Pages
As part of our power plant web design process, we flushed out each of the core content pages with individual wireframes. Here are few sample wireframes for services and resources.

The resource hub – titled communications – needed to house the NAES blog, newsletters, case studies, events and press releases.
We architected a robust landing page that would lead the visitor into the resource category they were looking for.

With a solid plan in place, we put everything together with a top-notch, professional website design that matched NAES’ branding guidelines and represented them well.
